  • Back…For good (I think)

I’ve been wanting to update! Really! But the past 2 weeks have been quite overwhelming. I started on my new job the week after I left Liq. Its a lot of information overload, but I believe, all my time is well spent. The training is intense and so is the politics. :| But I’ve learnt more than I did in this 2 weeks than I can for another month if I stayed on in my old job. The pressure is there, but I’m starting to get use to it.

Some of you might already know, I am doing sales now. But that’s all I’m gonna say here. Those of you who wants to know more, can contact me directly and I will update you k? I miss my girls and I miss the kind of lifestyle I had before. Relaxed. Comfortable. At ease. Sometimes I question myself, about my move. Was it necessary? Did I make the right move? But I guess, its all too late for regrets now. I found the courage to carry on from here and I really appreciate all the support I’ve been given. :D

Finished my first order with Lis 2 weeks ago and I love the outcome of it too. I’m waiting for the sample to arrive! I wanna collect them too! You can see the artwork at SAPlanet.

I also found my illustrations on Tommy Leong’s website. When he blogged about SAPlanet. Can’t express how excited I am over all the new exposure and I sure have to thank Lis for all these.

DY has been super understanding and super supportive for the past weeks. It’s not easy for me but I think its tougher for him. *Thanks for being such a sweeeeetie* He is heading to Saudi again soon, but this time round only for afew days. ;)

Oh well, I’ve been missing on alot of things, be it online or offline. My personal life have also taken a hit from my new schedules, so bear with me. Hopefully, I can get my life back on track soon, cause erratic lifestyle has never been my cup of tea. I’m more of a routine person.

The best way to contact me for now, is probably by calls/sms cause I don’t have internet access at my workplace yet and I get too tired to come back online when I get home. So, don’t miss me too much when I’m not around! :D

  • Bye bye. Take care.

This is my last post from my favourite iBook.
The last time I blog from my office.
The last time I take the trash out.
The last time I make coffee for them.
The last time I feed Wang, Cai.
The last time I work with my boss and colleague.
The last time I am part of here.

    Here on.

I am on my own, and they are on their own.
And I am emotional like $%@#.
I’m so going to miss this place. My iBook. And all of you.

    Bye bye. Take care.

  • Dreams

Work’s been kinda slow since they stop feeding me with new projects. They want me to clear all my projects at hand and not deal with anything new, in case I cannot complete the project before I leave. So that the handing over part will be less complicated. I’ve been waiting for some clients to get back to me so that I can complete the reminding projects I have, but apparently, none of them have time to approve anything. Other then that, I’ve been burning DVDs for backup and nothing else.

Right now…I’m bored out of my wits. So I decided to try out something new. How did I fare? I think it still looks kinda plain, but sometimes less is more so I’m gonna leave it as it is. Images are all from iStock.

  • Illustration Friday - Worry

“It is not the cares of today, but the cares of tomorrow, that weigh a man down.”
    ~George MacDonald

This week for IF. The road ahead may be fraught with uncertainties, but they will rebuild a home stronger than before. May the survivors of the Si Chuan Earthquake and Myanmar Cyclone be strong. You can help them here and here. Hopefully, all the aid rendered can reach the people who really need it.

And for the rest of us, who have smaller things to worry about, let’s just be thankful. :)

  • My new harddisk

I have a new harddisk! My boss keep telling me I should get it cause he is going to get the very slim DVD writer also. So when he went to get his, I just couldn’t wait! I was going to get the black or white 2.5″ one. It’s light and looks nice, but the lady recommended another one to me. It’s also a iSmart harddisk but but but it comes in a few different colors! You know I cannot resist colors! Sadly, they don’t have it on their website or else you will be able to see how nice they are!

I had a hard time choosing, cause there’s Red, Blue, Green, Pink and Black. I got the red one! 160Gb for $107! The lady told me it’ll be slightly cheaper during the upcoming IT fair but I din wanna wait. After that we went back to our office, and I tried to copy 1 of my folder that’s around 4Gb and guess what?! The copying took less than 15 mins. WOOOT!

Finally, I have a pretty and fast harddisk. Now..I pray hard for it to be reliable. :???:

  • #%!$!@# Maxtor

My Maxtor died on me AGAIN. And did I mention this is the replacement I got after my first OneTouch III Portable Hard disk died? I am utterly disappointed in Maxtor!!!!

My colleague has been using iSmart for afew years now, although the brand like abit ulu, but it has been working very well. I’ve used it a couple of times and I have to agree, the copying of files is faster. It doesn’t hang when I copy huge files. (And I really mean huge, afew Gb kind. Unlike Maxtor that hangs even when I copy smaller files. ) And it works well with PC and Mac. All in all, iSmart beats Maxtor hands down!

I wanted to do some research on iSmart but sad to say, there isn’t any reviews on the brand and their products. Since my colleague’s hard disk has proved to be very reliable, I’m thinking if I should get it. Next week is my last week here and I have some personal stuff to backup. CD/DVD is definitely out cause I tend to lose them after awhile.

Should I invest in another portable hard disk? hmmm… :| Anybody have good brands to recommend, and preferably affordable too. hehee…
